Easter 2015
We had some fun with kids today for Easter. Scott made some fun Easter pancakes for breakfast. Then we did a little Easter lesson about Jesus with the kids and let them open their Easter baskets (bags) from Nan and Pappy. While Ellie napped we dyed some Easter eggs with Hayden. Scott smoked up some country ribs and a chicken and Jeff and Jenelle joined us for a delicious dinner. Jeff brought us some homemade Utah Scones- very tasty!

Ellie @ 16 Months
This girl is so hard to get a decent picture of now! She loves these red shoes that cousin Maisey passed down to her. She brings them to us now and says "I want shoes"! I just finished crocheting these leg warmers for her yesterday. Here's the pattern I used.

Ellie and her hats
This girl loves hats! She can put the red one on by herself now. Too cute! She loves the little purse I crocheted for her too.

Valentine's Pasta!
Happy Valentine's Day Family and Friends!
We celebrated by making some shrimp scampi with heart shaped pasta for dinner, which Hayden loved!
Hayden got $5.00 from Nan and Pappy for Valentine's Day so Scott him to the dollar store today to pick out a couple things. He selected a Winnie-the-Pooh coloring book, glow sticks, a train whistle and a bag of heart-shaped lollipops!
Ellie is not pictured in the collage because she has Croup. Poor girl...and Mommy got it from her apparently (or whatever you call the adult form of croup).
This has a been crazy week for us...the craziest in a very long time. The main drain for our gray water drain cracked under the basement floor, so we haven't been able to use the kitchen sink, the dishwasher, or the washing machine since last Saturday night. Sunday morning Ellie woke up throwing up, and she threw up again at lunch time. So, we stayed home with her on Monday. Tuesday night she threw up in the middle of the night, but thankfully that was the end of it. Not being able to do laundry with a sick baby is not a good situation so I'm very grateful for dear friends who let me use their washing machine. :-)
Friday Ellie woke up at 5am coughing like a seal barking and with diarrhea. So, I took her to the doctor and they said it sounded like the start of croup, which is a virus so we can only treat the symptoms of it. She's been so sad...just wants Mom to hold her and snuggle her and she's sleeping a lot! Poor girl.
But, we do have a bit of good news... Scott snaked the drain so the water is flowing down the drain instead of seeping out through the crack in the drain. So, we can use the kitchen sink now! Yayy! The plumber is coming to repair the drain Monday and then we'll back to normal and able to do laundry again too.
