Summer Update

Dear Friends and Family,

It's been a while since we sent out an update and we have many changes going on this summer, so I thought it would be a good time to catch up with everyone. We are still living in Maryland, and since Scott and I will both be starting new jobs here we have decided to stay in the area. We have been renting a town home for the past year, but are now ready to buy a home since we are planning to stay here. We've put an offer on a home in Catonsville this past week and hope that things will come to fruition with it this coming week.

I will finish out the school year at Hebron-Harman ES and will begin working for ICF Int'l on June 23rd as an Instructional Designer. I will be writing curriculum and managing courses for the Office of Victims of Crime under the Dept of Justice. Since ICF is located in Fairfax, I will work mostly from home and will commute into Fairfax about 2 times a week. I also received a conditional job offer to work for the Federal Government, where Scott is working, as an Instructional Designer for the Office of Blended Learning and Instructional Technologies. This job requires a security clearance though and could take up to a year before I could actually start. So, some of you may be contacted to verify information about me through the security clearance screening process.

Summer is finally arriving here in MD and we hope the cold weather will stay away. We've enjoyed walking with Dixie through the trails and paths here in Piney Orchard. She has been a great dog and we love having her around. She is getting grayer each year and showing her age, but so far her health is good.
We don't have big plans for this summer, since we are both starting new jobs and possibly moving as well. We feel extremely blessed to have found good work and are always thankful for our friends and family who have supported us throughout this journey.

Here is a link to some recent photos of my trip back to Longwood for our 10 year reunion as well pictures from Scott’s 27th birthday at a Moroccan restaurant in D.C.

We hope to see you all again soon,

Take care,
Tiff
