Well, we have moved into our new home in Catonsville and we are settling into the new house. We couldn't have done it without the help and support of our family and friends. I can't tell you how thankful we were have Mom and Bob here for 3 weeks to help us pack, move and then unpack! We were also grateful to have Dad and Cindy Lynn join us for the weekend of the move and help in getting the truck loaded up. I am truly grateful that we were able to have fun and work hard together as a family. Many children of divorced parents can't fathom having their parents even eat dinner together, but mine spent the majority of the weekend together! They loaded up the truck together, helped clean up the house afterwards, went to eat Mexican, played board games, and toured Ellicot City and Catonsville. See Mom's Blog for pics. http://www.moonriverandwe.blogspot.com/ And, I would be remiss not to mention all of the men from our church Ward in Odenton that showed up to help get the truck loaded. I think we had 10-12 guys there and they made getting things onto the truck go very quickly! We were very blessed to have their help! Keep in touch Odenton friends, we'll miss you!
Most of the boxes are unpacked now, with the exception of a few in the basement, and this house is beginning to feel like home. We found the glass for the end tables and the china hutch last night (that had been “lost’ for a week and a half), so we commenced with putting all of the crystal away neatly and setting up the living room with lamps and pictures on the end tables. Hopefully, I’ll have the house straight enough to take some video of the main floor tomorrow.
Yesterday, I slipped out during lunch time and went to the Catonsville Farmer’s Market down at Bloomsbury Square. To my delight, there were many vendors selling everything from organic breads and smoked meats to the usual fruits, vegetables, berries and herbs. The market was quite the bustling little place, compared to the market we had in Piney Orchard. I picked up some squash, white potatoes, onions and snap peas and can’t wait to cook them up!
I took a short video of the market while I was there today.
