Hayden is 1 month old today!

It's amazing how fast the time flies by! Hayden has been such a blessing to us. We love him dearly and feel so blessed to be his parents. He is such a good natured little guy. The past two Friday's we've gone out to dinner with friends for our date night and he has been a little Angel. Last week we went to El Nayar, a Mexican restaurant here in Catonsville, and even though there was a birthday party going on with kids hitting a pinata and diving for candy, the little man slept through the whole dinner.  He poked his little eyes open when he heard the pinata being hit but went right back to sleep.

This week two of my friends from my Pre-natal Yoga came over for Hayden's first  "play date".  We had all of our babies within 4 days of each other so it was great to catch up and have the babies "meet" each other. It also gave us a chance to swap birth stories.
This week Hayden weighed 9lbs 13oz. He is getting so big! His eyes are getting brighter and he's more alert. His neck is so strong now. He can pull his head up really high on his own and today he lifted his body almost halfway over during tummy time. Of course he had some bad gas he was trying to work out, so I'm sure that helped propel him to the side a bit too. ;-)
His face is getting more expressive each day. He is oohing and awwing with his mouth and sometimes he'll stick his tongue out at us when we stick ours out at him. He has smiled a few times, but I still thinks it's usually from gas...not by social cues yet.
He is sleeping well most nights... usually from his 10:00 feeding until 3ish. Last night was a different story... something I ate made him terribly gassy so we were for quite a while last night trying to comfort him.
Hayden received two precious gifts this week. The first came from Tia (Aunt Mary) in Brazil. It was gorgeous blanket that Mary crocheted with cross-stitched animals over the crochet. The second one came in a precious little box from Texas, it was from Grandma and Grandpa Howell. It was a pair of white leather shoes with Hayden's name and birth date printed in Gold Letters on the bottom. What a nice keepsake! Hayden is so loved! Thank you all!

We took some 4 week photos this weekend and a little video too.
