Fall Fun

Fall is such a fun time of year! We enjoyed a beautiful weekend earlier this month up in Lancaster, PA. The leaves were at their most colorful and the air was crisp. There's just something so nice about sitting in the brisk evening air near the warmth of a campfire. Except for the hurricane, this fall has been pretty mild. The hurricane didn't hit us hard, thank goodness.
Hayden is still scooting around and cruising on the furniture, but he hasn't ventured his first steps on his own yet. He's figuring out more and more, like the fun of opening and closing drawers, how to put shapes through their corresponding holes, and he's fascinated by wheels. If something has wheels, he wants to turn them. Sometimes it's fun, but other times it's a little awkward, like when he wants to play with a stranger's wheelchair.
He had his checkup last week and he is 23 pounds 32 inches tall - that's 80th percentile for weight and off the charts for height. We may need to reconsider how much we budgeted for clothes. The doctor says he can eat whatever he wants now, no restrictions on food. You know Daddy likes that!
