Valentine's Day

It was so nice to have Valentine's Day fall on a three-day weekend for us this year! We enjoyed being able to catch up on some things around the house and re-coup from the trip.

To celebrate Valentine's Day I decded to suprise Scott and take him out for a special dinner. There are some really neat old historic restaurants here in Catonsville that we've been wanting try out, so I made a reservation for us at Matthew's 1600. This old restuarant was formerly known as the "The Terminal Inn". This was the last stop on the Trolley Line from Baltimore City into Catonsville. The trolleys were originally horse drawn and then later the electric street car line ended here as well. Inside it has a lot of historic charm with nice quiet ambience. The food was good, although I do belive we prefer the Candlight Inn more for the food.

When we returned from dinner we enjoyed this beautiful heart-shaped carrot cake that Scott made for me for Valentine's Day. It has buttercream frosting topped with slices of chocolate and two roses on top. He is something else isn't he?

Next weekend, my Dad and his new lady-friend, Beverly are coming up. We're looking forward to touring around Baltimore and spending time with them. They are relaxing in Hilton Head, S.C. right now. Enjoy the warm weather for me Dad and don't forget that you'll need a warm coat when you head back up this way.:-)
